솔직히.. 위치 하나는 괜찮은데 구제주에 위치하고 있지만, 공항과 가깝고 바로 앞에 바다를 끼고 있어 뷰가 좋은편

일단 5성급 호텔이지만 지어진지 20년이 넘은 호텔이라, 호캉스로 유명한 호텔보다는 조금 부족하다.

호텔 내 수영장 디자인만 봐도 조금 오래전에 지어진 느낌..

쉐라톤으로 바뀐다는 이야기..

국내 쉐라톤 브랜드로 살아있는 호텔이 하나 뿐이긴 한데... 리모델링 하면서 수영장도 인피니티풀로 바꾸는등의 변화를 보일 예정이라고 한다.

제주도 출장을 위해 이용했던 비행편... 티웨이...

오랜만에 김포공항 전망대에 와서 비행기 구경..

제주도 날씨 문제로 인하여 대략 20분 늦게 출발했는데.. 김포-제주 구간은 워낙에 비행기가 많이 다니니 그려려니 하는데

문제는...

가격이 저렴하니 그냥저냥 다닐만한데 그래도 기내청소정도는 잘해주면 좋겠다..

제주도로 출장을 가면 보통 김포공항을 오가는게 보통인데, 이번에는 여수에 일이 있어서 제주-여수를 오가는 비행편을 탑승했다.

난생 처음 타본 대한항공 비행기가 제주-여수구간이라니...

이륙하고 순항고도에 오르기 직전부터 바로 음료 서빙 시작. 커피, 감귤주스 등의 음료를 서빙해주신다.

이륙하고 20분만에 착륙 방송...!

정말 짧은 구간이다. 총 비행은 30분쯤인데.. 공항에서 기다리는 시간이 더 길었던.. 재밌는 구간이다.

내년(2025)에 파리를 가기위해 열심히 모은 마일리지를 사용하기로 했다. 거기에 타보고 싶었던 로얄로렐 구간을 검색해봤다.

먼저 EVA 항공(공식적으론 이브이에이 에어 라고 하더라.)은 타오위안(TPE)공항이 허브 공항이기 때문에 먼저 비행기 시간표를 알아본다.

위 시간대가 있으니 먼저 좌석을 검색해서 6월27일 자리가 있는 걸 확인하고 다시 한국에서 대만으로 가는 경유편을 만들기 위해 여정을 2개로 만들어 검색해준다.

검색해보니 오전,오후로 비행편이 많으나 비즈니스석은 아시아나 좌석만 직항으로 있다.

잘 생각해보니 10시에 출발하는 비행기를 타면 스탑오버 10시간이 있어서 타이페이에서 간단하게 관광도 가능한 여정이다!

이렇게 해서 1년 뒤 6월 말 파리로 가는 마일리지 편도 좌석을 만들어두었다!

그 후 각각 항공사 사이트에 접속하여 좌석 지정을 한다.

좌석 지정까지 미리 완료! 이제 1년이란 시간동안 기다리는 일만 남았다. 

이렇게 1년이나 미리 예약은 처음 해봤는데 생각보다 여유롭게 예약이 가능했다. 

참고로 아시아나, 스타얼라이언스 복합 발권은 취소등 수수료는 출발전에 온라인으로 취소 한다면 수수료, 마일리지 차감이 없이 취소가 가능하다!

에바항공은 퍼스트클래스가 없기 때문에 로얄로렐(비즈니스)가 가장 최상위 좌석이다. 어메니티 키트는 페레가모 키트를 주는 것으로 알고 있다, 그리고 다른 항공사에서는 퍼스트 클래스에서만 주는 잠옷, 베딩 서비스도 제공한다.

 이제 돌아오는 편을 예약해야하는데, 남은 마일리지 상황을 봐서 다른 항공사를 찾아보는 중이다.

폴란드항공, 루프트한자, 전일본공수, 아시아나 등이 있으니 1년동안 차근차근 돌아오는 편도 예약 예정!

이제 1년동안 별 일 없이 차분히 갈 수 있도록 기다리는 일만 남았다!

올해 1월(2024)에 구매한 신지모루 실리콘 케이스 테두리가 6개월 만에 갈라졌다..

소모품이니 그려려니 하고 또 같은 케이스를 살까 고민하다가 베이스어스 케이스가 보였다!

그전부터 여러 모바일 액세서리로 유명해서 브랜드는 알고 있었는데 쿠팡에서 보니 정식 수입해서 판매하기로 한 것 같다.

다음날 오후 바로 받아 보았는데 기대 이상의 품질이다!

일단 소재는 PU가족.. 인공가죽이다.

기존에 쓰던 케이스에 비해서 좀 더 얇은 느낌이 있어서 만족스럽고 가격대비 좋은 품질의 케이스다.

색도 예뻐서 기분내기 좋은 케이스 인듯..!

단점 발견…. 충전 포트가 조금 작은 편. 정품 케이블 이외에 몇몇 케이블은 안꼽힌다.

그래서 케이블을 약간 잘라서 쓰고 있다. 케이스가 얇아서 그런지 충전 단자를 충분하게 공간을 못 늘린 듯..

무선충전을 사용한다면 별로 상관 없는 이야기..

차 8만 km 넘게 미션오일을 교체한 적이 없어서 예전에 미리 구매한 미션오일을 가지고 공임나라에 교체하러 다녀왔다.

코나(OS) 모델 기본형은 DCT변속기를 사용하고 있다. 

대충 구글에서 내 차의 모델명과 미션오일 검색하면 여러 쇼핑몰이 나오는데 저렴한 곳을 찾아 구매하자...

공임나라 홈페이지에서 미리 공임 가격을 알 수 있는데 DCT변속기는 교환이 쉬워서 3만 원이라고...

5시 예약이었으나 4시 30분에 도착하고 거의 바로 정비에 들어갔다 빠르게 끝내고 5시에 정비를 마무리했다.. 

자기 차에 대한 지식만 잘 알고 있다면 정비 공임, 부품값을 합리적으로 수리하기 좋은 것 같아서 애용하고 있다.

주말에 서수원에 있는 실내동물원을 갔는데….

생각보다 실내 동물원이 엄청나게 작고 그에 비해서 사람이 많다 보니…. 동물들이 스트레스가 많아 보인다….'수달앤쥬' 라고 하는 동물원인데…. 수달들은 건강해 보이긴 했지만, 나머지 몇몇 동물은 스트레스가 많아서 소리를 지르는 것 같기도 하고 카피바라는 좀 건강해 보이지 않았다….좀 더 넓고 좋은 환경에서 지낼 수 있으면 좋을 텐데. 안타까웠다….

Apple TV Review After 2 Years of Use

I purchased the Apple TV (4K) model back in 2021. I remember opting for in-store pickup at the Apple Store to get it directly.

Why I Bought Apple TV

My existing TV was a smart TV, but I wanted better smart home integration and an Apple smart home hub. I was also eager to try it out within the Apple ecosystem. (This eventually led to purchasing a soundbar to use Dolby Atmos...)

Here are my thoughts on the remote, Apple Arcade, Photos, FaceTime, and AirPlay:

Same-day purchase, same-day pickup!

1. Remote (Siri Remote)

If you've ever used an iPod with a click wheel, this will feel familiar. The central part of the remote is a touchpad that recognizes up, down, left, and right movements.

As shown in the video, the touchpad in the center makes navigation very convenient.

The official name is 'Siri Remote,' and it includes Siri, as seen in iOS devices.

However, don’t expect too much. Honestly, compared to Google Assistant, it's lacking. The issue lies more with policies than recognition, so it rarely executes commands as desired.

2. Apple Arcade

Subscription canceled. I've barely used Apple Arcade in the past two years. The Apple remote isn’t great for gaming, and using a phone feels awkward. You need a separate game controller, but most games aren't A-grade to warrant this. Hence, I haven't used it much. However, there is potential. Recently, with the release of A-grade games like Death Stranding on iPhone 16 Pro, there might be plans to add such games to Apple TV...

• The latest Apple TV uses the A15 Bionic chip, the same as in the iPhone 13 Pro.

The next generation of Apple TV might make it possible. If so, Apple TV could become a versatile home entertainment device. The gaming market is significant, and this is one reason to look forward to the next-gen Apple TV.

In conclusion, subscribing to Apple Arcade now is a waste of money.

3. Photos, FaceTime

The Photos app on Apple TV allows you to view photos from your iOS Photos app. You can view photos via iCloud. It’s usable without a subscription, but with only 5GB of iCloud storage, it's limited. If you subscribe, you can easily view photos and videos you’ve taken.

From tvOS 17, you can use your iPhone as a camera for FaceTime. It's more suitable for large meeting rooms than for home use. The quality is quite good, making it worth trying occasionally.

4. AirPlay

You can connect AirPods near the TV, which is useful for watching TV at night without disturbing others. You can connect two AirPods simultaneously. It's a very useful feature.

Moreover, you can stream directly via AirPlay from devices like your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Overall Evaluation

Apple TV is, in many ways, a common set-top box, but I believe it has a lot of potential. However, this potential has been neglected for over a decade.

If the next generation device is given gaming capabilities, it could sell quite well.

I'm reposting a slightly modified version of a post I shared on a community forum from around May 2015.

Around May 2015, while waiting at the bank with my mother, I heard her say, "Why is your hair so thin here?" That day, after going to the hair salon to cut my hair, I discovered three bald spots.

It was near the crown, on the side temple and back of the head. At first, I didn't think much of it and visited a local dermatologist. After an examination and injections, I was told that it would improve with good sleep and nutrition.

However, after about a month passed, my hair started falling out even more when I woke up...

I continued visiting the dermatologist for about three months until my hair had almost completely fallen out, at which point I went to a university hospital for further examination.

At the hospital, they explained that my hair loss was due to weakened immunity...

From then on, I received treatment by applying medication directly to my scalp rather than injections or oral medications.

The treatment involved applying medication (DPCP) all over my scalp.

Since I was a student and had to attend classes, I wore hats almost all the time during the treatment period.

During the initial stages of treatment, I had to check the reaction to the medication applied to my scalp. If the reaction was too strong, they would reduce the concentration to minimize immune reactions. This process took about a month. Then, for about three months, I visited the hospital weekly for scalp medication application. They warned me not to scratch my head on the day of application because the medication was washed off immediately.

As winter approached and my scalp showed less response to the medication, they increased the concentration slightly. Gradually, my scalp started feeling smoother...

Yes, my hair began to grow again... Small white hairs started to emerge little by little. At first, they weren't very noticeable, but they grew more visible over time.

There's hope! Grow, hair, grow!

Almost all my hair has grown back... Yet I continue with the treatment. From around this time, the treatment intervals changed to once every two weeks...

The medication concentration remained the same...

In total, the treatment period was about 3 months at the local hospital and 12 months at the university hospital, totaling about 1 year and 3 months...

For your reference, this frontal alopecia was non-genetic. It occurred due to factors like overwork, stress, and irregular lifestyle habits, which lowered my immunity...

Because lifestyle habits aren't easy to change, this condition progressed into frontal alopecia before it could be treated early...

In my immediate family, no one suffers from baldness, but there are cases in my extended family.

When all my hair had fallen out, I resigned myself and hoped it would grow back, but dealing with the aftermath—especially the constant nagging from my family (especially my parents)—was very stressful...

And... if you notice hair loss, please rush to the hospital immediately... Especially if you didn't notice it at first and suddenly wake up to find 30 strands gone in an instant...

That's my recovery journey from frontal alopecia... Thank you!

During this trip, I followed two locals around Universal Studios, and I really made the most of my ticket!

We arrived early, around 7:30 AM, to queue for entry at Universal City. I was surprised that it was relatively empty, as they said it would be.

Right after opening, we headed straight to the Demon Slayer attraction. It seemed to be a limited-time thing, as there were many people rushing in as soon as it opened.

The Demon Slayer attraction involved wearing VR goggles and riding a simple roller coaster. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's worth waiting 120 minutes for. If you get motion sickness from VR, you might feel a bit dizzy.

Next, we went to book our entry to Super Nintendo World. Since we hadn't bought express tickets, we had to go to Central Park to make a reservation.

We found Calm Down Man (a Korean YouTube channel) after riding another roller coaster, which had both forward and backward options.

After that, we saw a detective Conan-themed attraction, though I don't remember much apart from the 4DX theater experience.

Finally, it was time for Super Nintendo World! We had an 11 AM entry, so we had time to take photos and videos at the entrance. We struck poses like Super Mario, but my video timing was off...

Before entering, we bought a bracelet that we used with the USJ app to earn points. It cost 4,900 yen.

Super Nintendo World felt like stepping into a real-life video game world! Objects from Mario games made sounds and interacted with us, recording points on the USJ app. Records were even kept from riding attractions like Mario Kart!

We went to Kinopio Cafe to make a reservation before riding Mario Kart. We entered at 11 AM but didn't get in until 3 PM. Before waiting for Mario Kart, we enjoyed a delicious melon drink and grilled shell soba at Yoshi's Snack Island!

Mario Kart was exhausting—120 minutes of waiting for a 5-minute ride! It was fun, but next time, I'll definitely recommend buying an express ticket. There were plenty of Mario-themed photo spots along the way to make the wait less boring.

Around 3 PM, we finally went to Kinopio Cafe. In Japan, you really have to stick to your schedule...

If you're with a group, they'll take your picture if you say "Okidoki!"

After that, we were tired, so we headed to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I've been to the Harry Potter Studio in London before, but this theme park was more light-hearted. Hogwarts itself was impressive to see up close.

We rode a few attractions without long lines and then left.

I visited on a weekday without an express ticket, which was manageable, but on weekends, I'd definitely recommend getting one. Super Nintendo World is best visited as early as possible in the morning. Once you leave, you can't re-enter, so make the most of your ticket!

I purchased a robot vacuum cleaner in 2019 and have been using it well.

After about 5 years of use, suddenly the cleaner stopped working!

It made noises as if trying to work, but wouldn't move, and displayed a message saying "LDS sensor error." Upon investigation, it turns out the rubber belt in the sensor area had worn out due to prolonged use...

I successfully disassembled it easily after loosening just a few screws to remove the cover, and while at it, I cleaned it since it was quite dirty due to long-term use...

Originally, there was a black rubber belt, but as soon as I opened it, I found it was broken, so I replaced it with a yellow rubber belt that I found lying around the house.

After reassembling it and testing, it operates normally again... For now, the yellow rubber belt is just a temporary fix, so I'll have to get a proper rubber belt soon and repair it properly...

Let's use it for a long time... Robot vacuum cleaners are expensive, after all ^^;

The weather was so nice today that I headed straight to Haenggung-dong after work!

It was pretty quiet since it was a weekday, and there weren't many tourists. Usually, the restaurants inside Haenggung-dong are expensive, so I don't eat there often, but since I was in a good mood, I decided to go to a udon place called "사계(Sakye)"

I heard they serve Japanese-style stir-fried udon, so I went in.

I ordered Abura Udon, but it looked slightly different from the picture in the store. LOL.

Abura Udon comes with an egg yolk on top, and you mix it in before eating.

The udon comes with karaage, which you dip in the sauce underneath.

It was savory and just right, so I finished all the sauce... it was delicious.

It was a good day for a walk.

2023년 6월 여름날 오산에 있는 실내 동물원에 다녀온 적이 있다.

오산시청에 붙어 있어서 오산시에서 운영하는줄 알았는데, 민간에서 운영하더라...

버드파크라고 써있어서 새만 있는건 아니고 수달, 카피바라, 사막여우,펭귄 등 생각보다 다양한 동물이 서식하고 있었다.

2019년도에 로봇청소기를 구매하고 잘쓰고 있었다. 5년정도 쓰고 갑자기 청소기가 작동을 안한다! 한참 작동하려는 소리는 나는데 안움직이더니 "LDS 센서 오류입니다." 라고 메시지가 나오고 찾아보니 센서 부분에 고무줄이 오래되어서 그렇다고 한다...

찾아보니 나사 몇개만 풀어서 뚜껑 분해가 가능했는데, 오래 사용해서 그런지 더러워서 겸사겸사 청소...

원래는 검정색 고무줄이 걸려있는데 열자마자 확인해보니 끊어져 있어서, 집에 아무곳이나 돌아다니는 노란 고무줄로 갈아주었다.

다시 조립 후 작동시켜보니 정상 작동한다.. 일단 저 노란 고무줄은 임시 방편이니 조만간 괜찮은 고무줄을 구해서 다시 수리 해줘야겠다.. 오래 쓰자.. 로봇청소기는 비싸니까 ^^;

보통 항공사 마일리지 모으는 이유는 항공권을 발권하여 여행 가기 위해서 많이 모아두는데. 대부분 마일리지로 비즈니스 좌석을 발권한다.
아시아나는 마일리지 좌석을 엄청 조금 푼다!
우리나라 항공사의 마일리지 시스템상 원하는 좌석과 원하는 시간, 마일리지 좌석 구하는 건 매우 어렵다….보통 1년 전에 발권하는 방법으로 다들 미리 좌석을 선점하는 것 같은데….1년 전부터 좌석을 예약한다는 건 정말 부지런한 사람이나 할 수 있는 일이고.
MBTI 극 P인 사람들은 상황이 가능하면 지금 당장이라도 떠날 수 있기 때문에 원하는 좌석을 마일리지로 구하기는 불가능이다….단거리는 솔직히 마일리지 쓰기 아까워서 보통은 잘 안 쓰지만 유럽, 미주 여행은 이야기가 달라진다.

여기서 우리가 주목해야 할 항공사는 ANA(전일본공수)와 EVA 항공, 폴란드 항공, 타이항공 정도가 괜찮다.
루프트한자는 유럽 여행을 하기에 마일리지 좌석을 많이 제공하기에 좋은 선택지이지만 여기선 제외한다.

1. ANA
ANA의 경우에는 취항 하는 곳도 많고, 우리나라에서 그나마 가까워서 좋고 가장 추천한다
일단 ANA의 허브공항은 하네다, 나리타 공항인데 이 두 개 공항에서 출발하는 항공편도 많고 생각보다 자주 풀린다. 특히 출발 전 2주 전쯤 계속 검색해 보면 나올 확률이 가장 많은 항공사.
최고의 장점은…. 마일리지와 유류할증료를 획기적으로 아낄 수 있다는 것에 있다.
특히 김포-하네다-유럽, 미주 구간에서 하네다 도착 후 24시간 이내에 환승(Stop over)하면 최초 출발지 기준 유류할증료를 부과하기 때문에 20만 원 정도만 내면 ANA의 비즈니스 좌석 이용이 가능하다. ANA는 서비스가 좋기로 유명하니 추천!

 
2. EVA 항공
대만의 항공사인데 잘 발권만 하면 괜찮은 항공사 '로열 로렐'이라는 비즈니스 좌석을 운영 중이며 ANA와 비슷하게 24시간 이내에 환승이 가능하다면 추천!

위 내용상 체류가 대략 10시간 가까이라 파리에 가기 전 대만에서 잠깐 관광하고 가기도 괜찮다!
짐이야 바로 파리에서 받을 수 있도록 준비하면 맘 편하게 대만도 관광하고 파리도 관광하고 1석2조!

3. 타이항공
타이항공은 '로열 실크 클래스'라는 비즈니스 좌석을 운영 중이다.
타이항공의 비즈니스 좌석도 간간이 나오는데 아시아나에서 검색 시점에서 최대 180일 이내에만 비즈니스 표가 보인다.
태국은 우리나라 사람들이 많이 찾는 관광지이므로 인천에서 수완나품 구간은 비즈니스 찾기가 매우 힘들다는 단점이 있다….
 

 
4. 폴란드 항공
 폴란드 항공의 비즈니스 좌석은 위에 있는 항공사들에 비해서 비교적 평범하다. 대부분 좌석 배열이 2-2-2 배열이라서….다만 이 항공사는 환승 장사 하기로 유명하다! 특히 인천-바르샤바-유럽 구간에서 좌석을 많이 푸는 편
바르샤바 국제공항이 허브 공항이라 중간 경유지를 바르샤바로 검색하자 그리고…. 여긴 유류할증료가 없다.
마일리지를 이용하여 가장 싸게 갈 수 있는 항공사다.

 
물론 유류할증료가 없는 항공사도 있고 좌석을 많이 푸는 항공사가 있지만 일단 서울 출발 기준으로 볼 때는 추천할 만한 항공사들은 이 정도다….조만간 아시아나가 대한항공에 합병하기 전에 미리 구간 예약을 해서 스타얼라이언스 항공사를 이용해 보자!
(스카이팀 예약은 편도 예약이 불가능하거나 거의 좌석을 안 푸는 경우가 있어서 조금 불만족스럽다.)
